Data Compare
Relational
Data Compare lets you see the differences between result sets of two
queries.
This
picture shows the result of comparing Dataset 1 and Dataset 2. Account Number
is a unique key in each dataset. From
the compare result you can tell that one row is different and one is missing.
The different row has one different column – Account Name, and the “missing
row” is missing from Dataset 1.
Relational
Data Compare supports any ODBC data source, including Microsoft SQL Server,
Sybase, Oracle, delimited text files. Parquet files(requires Apache Drill and MapR Drill ODBC driver)
·
Relational Data Compare can
compare result sets from two different data sources. For example, one query
can be a join of several tables in Oracle database, and the other – a stored
procedure in Sybase. |
·
In addition to comparing based on
unique key, you can sort rows in the grid and compare based on the sorted
order. You can also compare based on the sort order specified in the query. |
·
The queries with corresponding
connection attributes and result set configurations can be saved to file. |
·
When comparing floating point
numbers, the Relational Data Compare determines the precision of values in
column and compares numbers rounded to that precision. The precision can also be explicitly
specified. |
·
When result sets have different
number of columns, the extra columns can be excluded from comparison. |
·
The compare results can be copied
to Excel spreadsheet |
